About Us
Ramanujan Education & Research Foundation, established in 2002 at Faridabad, Haryana, is a registered voluntary organization working in the field of education and rendering rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities through a holistic approach of inclusive education, vocational training and employment generation. At present we are operating in Palwal district of south Haryana. Children / Persons with special needs, in addition to disability, often bear the brunt of poverty, illiteracy and social pressure on family and parents. Families having special children / members struggle to find basic child care and education facility and often remain worried about future of child. In our experience, most parents / family members become helpless and hopeless while others settle for very mean options, some parents even turn violent and abusive. Normally such children do not get equal opportunities for education and other social ventures and considered burden on rest of the family members throughout the life.
Our mission is to promote independence and social participation to Persons with Disabilities / Persons with special needs through our services, so as they are no more considered as burden on the family and society at large. Three meticulously designed verticals achieve this mission, Inclusive Education with need-based therapies, skill based vocational training, and employment generation. Each of these programs is designed with an aim of providing equal opportunities to persons with special needs and is evidence based and closely monitored.
